This handcrafted record player stand is made from solid utile and features precise decorative mitred dovetail joinery at each corner. It is built for both rigidity and acoustic performance, along with a timeless style. It features three equally sized divided compartments to store your vinyl collection, as well as three smaller units in which you can house your HiFi separates, or else store other useful things like vinyl brushes or some favourite coffee table books. It combines clean lines with a beautiful rich tone of the solid wood whilst providing practical functionality.
It is made from one single board of timber across its depth (as opposed to jointing bits of timber together) which is something made possible by its means of construction, including the dovetailed joints and sliding dovetail joinery for all of the internal components. These features ensure that it will stay perfectly flat in perpetuity, whilst allowing the beautiful wood to take centre stage. What is a relatively simple form is accentuated both by the gorgeous grain of the solid timber, and also by the colour contrasting and angled legs. It has a hand-waxed finish which is unbelievably smooth to touch and makes the wood sing (along with your soundsystem!). I also love a hand-waxed finish as it is easy to maintain and just gets better and better as time goes on.
Furniture like this is designed to last a lifetime and beyond so as for the HiFi itself, it is an investment.
