About
I began designing and making bespoke furniture from a simple desire to create beautiful, lasting objects. My background is in Materials Science, which I studied at Oxford University - an education that focused on high-performance engineered materials, but said a lot less about the natural ones. After a few years working in intellectual property law within that field, I retrained at Rycotewood Furniture School and now work from my workshop at the Sylva Wood Centre, just outside Oxford.

While it can be demanding to work with, I find wood unrivalled in its beauty, tactility, and ability to age gracefully. Each piece I make is an opportunity to celebrate the material itself - whether that’s through a bespoke walnut desk, a beautifully crafted record player cabinet, or sculptural and organic console table I focus on solid timber, not only for its character but because I want the furniture I make to outlast trends, move between generations, and only improve with time.

Beyond the workshop, I’m also planting and managing woodland with the long-term goal of producing high-quality, sustainable timber for future makers. This connection to the full life cycle of my materials feeds back into my practice, shaping my creative approach and commitment to thoughtful design.

Although I’m based in Oxford, my work has found homes across the UK and beyond. If you’re interested in commissioning a unique piece - be it vinyl storage, a bespoke office desk, or something entirely new - I’d love to hear from you.
