The Kelp Cabinet is a unique blend of custom wood furniture and sculptural design, created to function as both a modern drinks cabinet and a striking piece of living room art. Handcrafted in black-stained oak and paired with a carved Jesmonite art front, this wall-mounted cabinet is a true example of British furniture design that bridges practicality and sculpture.
 
Inspired by the flowing movement of underwater kelp forests, the Jesmonite surface ripples with organic patterns that catch light and shadow throughout the day. This striking textured panel is framed by the rich grain of oak, producing a black drinks cabinet with a bold yet refined presence. More than just storage, it also serves as wall décor - a sculptural focal point for a contemporary interior.
 
Inside, the design is pared back and functional. The dark oak interior is fitted with curved sycamore shelving, perfectly aligned to the cabinet doors. The proportions make it ideal as a small drinks cabinet: sized to hold a curated selection of bottles and glasses, it’s equally suited as a whiskey cabinet or for cocktails and aperitifs. Precision-engineered synchronous runners allow both doors to open smoothly in unison, a discreet detail that highlights the level of craftsmanship. It also features a hidden drawer at the bottom to store a few smaller items such as a corkscrew, coasters or a cigar cutter.
